Zambians are known for their friendliness and warmth. They are fairly conservative, so being respectful is very much appreciated.

Safety & Political Stability

 

Zambia is one of the most peaceful and politically stable countries in Africa.

 

It has a strong reputation for safety and hospitality, especially in safari regions.

 

Violent crime is rare, and the local people are warm, respectful, and welcoming to visitors.

As with all travel, general precautions in cities are advised, but safari destinations are very low-risk.

Dry Season (May–October): Best for wildlife viewing

Green Season (Nov–April): Lush scenery, great birding, fewer crowds​

Malaria prevention is recommended

Bring insect repellent (Citronella oil works a treat) and sun protection

Safe drinking water is provided at MAWIMBI Bush Camp

 

Visas

Most nationalities require a tourist visa. Apply online via Zambia eVisa​.
