EVERY SEASON IS BEAUTIFUL

PEAK /DRY SEASON (1st May to 14th November) 

  • At this time of year, wildlife is drawn to water sources, game viewing is excellent in Kafue National Park.

  • Average temperatures range from 20°C to 30°C (68°F to 86°F) - please bring sunscreen and a hat.

  • October is the hottest month with temperatures above 35°C (95°F), but from mid October some cloudy days and a few showers bring cooler temps.

  • Sunrises and Sunsets are gorgeous with a red orb providing wonderful photographic opportunities.

OFF PEAK / GREEN SEASON (15th November to 30th April)

The rains traditionally begin in November, and the bush greens up almost overnight. It's a wonderful time for game viewing with pregnant animals give birth and migratory birds en route, bird watching brings excellent photographic opportunities.

  • Temperatures during the day range from 25°C to 35°C (77°F to 95°F).

  • Evenings are much cooler and with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 20°C (50°F to 68°F), bring something warm.

  • December to March bring the heaviest rains and temperatures between 20°C to 30°C (68°F to 86°F).
